Biography

Bachelor in Sociology and PhD in International Relations and African Studies (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). He holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and African Studies (UAM) and a Postgraduate Degree in Community Development (Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, Mexico).

He is currently a researcher in the Conflict and Peace Construction Program of the Escola de Cultura de Pau (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). He teaches in university and non-university spaces about armed conflicts and peace building, development cooperation, project management and participatory methodologies, etc.

He has worked for almost 20 years in the field of International Development Cooperation, six of them residing in Uganda. Editor and founding member of the online analysis magazine Africaye.org. Area of research: he focuses on the analysis of armed conflicts in Africa, specializing in the case of Uganda and the Great Lakes region.
