Biography

PhD in Medical Anthropology, Master in International Cooperation, Master in Anthropology of Health and Social Worker. Her doctoral thesis, which earned the PhD Prize 2007 of the University Rovira i Virgili, was about immigration, medicalization and social change in Mali.

Berta works as an international researcher consultant and teacher. Since 2010 she lives in the Central African Republic doing research for international and local organizations.

Research interests: culture and health, international development aid, development and global health, processes of health, disease and care, gender, migration and codevelopment.
