Carlos Tabernero has a degree in Journalism (Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca) and a Master in International Relations and African Studies (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). Since 2012 he is a Trainee Research Staff at the Department of Social Anthropology in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he studies territorial

Research interests: claims and border building processes in Africa; the impact of the natural resources in the construction and development of the political and social movements in Africa; Critical Security Studies (CSS); and Critical Border Studies (CBS).
