The Introduction to the African Reality Course\u2019 objective is to familiarize the interested public with the history and the actuality of sub-Saharan Africa. African reality appears more and more frequently in our social and economic horizon, through the media, migration movements or Spanish foreign policy, including development aid.\u00a0 African Studies are the best guarantee to have access to a realistic knowledge about an extremely complex continent, with very diverse economic, political, social and cultural tendencies.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Introduction to the African Reality Course offers a multidisciplinary formation, structured in six modules (history, politics, international relations, economy, anthropology, and culture and society) in order to understand not only what is happening in the continent but its relations to the rest of the world and the manner it inserts in the international system. The course gathers renowned Spanish specialists and researchers on Africa, and it is aimed at a broad public willing to know more about the African continent, and to those professionals desiring to get a better understanding about the historical dynamics and the international context that characterize the continent.<\/p>\n

Since 2002, La Casa Encendida<\/a> has contributed to the realization of this course with its economic support and hosting the sessions.<\/p>\n

El Curso de Introducci\u00f3n a la Realidad Africana<\/strong> (CIRA) tiene por objetivo familiarizar al p\u00fablico interesado con la historia y la actualidad del \u00c1frica subsahariana. La realidad africana aparece en nuestro horizonte social y econ\u00f3mico cada vez con m\u00e1s frecuencia, tanto a trav\u00e9s de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, la migraci\u00f3n o la pol\u00edtica exterior espa\u00f1ola incluida la cooperaci\u00f3n al desarrollo. Los estudios sobre \u00c1frica, sus estados y sociedades, son la mejor garant\u00eda de un conocimiento realista y cercano sobre un continente enormemente complejo y con una gran diversidad de situaciones pol\u00edticas, econ\u00f3micas, sociales y culturales.<\/p>\n

El CIRA ofrece una formaci\u00f3n multidisciplinar, articulada en seis m\u00f3dulos (historia, pol\u00edtica, relaciones internacionales, econom\u00eda, antropolog\u00eda, cultura y sociedad), para entender no s\u00f3lo lo que ocurre en el continente sino tambi\u00e9n en sus relaciones con el resto del mundo y c\u00f3mo se inserta dentro del sistema internacional. El curso cuenta con reconocidos especialistas e investigadores sobre \u00c1frica en Espa\u00f1a y est\u00e1 dirigido a todas aquellas personas interesadas en conocer m\u00e1s de cerca el continente africano y a aquellas personas que por su trayectoria profesional deseen comprender mejor las din\u00e1micas hist\u00f3ricas y el contexto internacional que caracterizan al continente africano.<\/p>\n

Desde el a\u00f1o 2002 La Casa Encendida<\/a> ha contribuido a la realizaci\u00f3n de este curso mediante su financiaci\u00f3n y acogi\u00e9ndolo en sus instalaciones.<\/p>\n
